The short answer to that is No! End of article…right?
Ok, maybe a little bit more information would be helpful. Do you have to use automation to run your business? No. Will automation save you time, money, and hassle, and put you a step ahead of the competition? Yes! Do you really want automation? Definitely yes!
While you don’t have to use automation, the reality is, running your business without taking advantage of automation means you are working harder than you need to. You can absolutely build any number of businesses by doing all the work with little or no technology-based assistance. You can hire employees to perform all the tasks you don’t want to do or don’t know how to do. But ultimately, a day will come when you realize that automation just makes more sense.
So the real question of this article is NOT, “Do I Really Need It?, but instead, “How can automation benefit my business, and make it run smoother with less effort from me?”.
Automation is probably a new concept for you, and new concepts can be overwhelming, or even scary, at first. I get that. You might not understand how technology impacts your business or your profit margin. You might not understand what automation is or how it works. Maybe you’re not sure how to market your business using social media. The good news is, I can answer all those questions for you, and more. I’m here to help.
The importance of using technology in business…
Every modern business REQUIRES some sort of technology to keep it running. You already rely heavily on technology whether you realize it or not. It may be in the form of using Microsoft Office on the computer or making phone calls to clients on a cell phone. You may use software to create invoices or have a website to advertise your products. So unless your business happens to be building and selling Amish furniture at a remote roadside stand, you are already using, and benefiting from technology. Automation is just taking your existing technology to the next level. And let’s be honest, even that Amish furniture stand could generate a lot more interest and foot traffic from potential customers with a presence on social media and automated responses to customer questions.
Automation as it relates to marketing is a relatively new process. As a result, not very many people are familiar with it, with how it works, or with what it can do. I’ve spent years researching this technology and I still have days where I run across new and interesting automation problems to solve (I love a new challenge!). The benefit of hiring a professional to do your automation is that you don’t have to understand the ins and outs of the process. That’s my job, and I’ll do the heavy lifting where that’s concerned. However, I am always eager to share my knowledge with you. If you’re curious about the process in general or have specific questions, drop me a line and we’ll work through your questions together. I can also point you toward a number of helpful resources such as articles, blogs and podcasts that you might find interesting. Just ask!
I work with business owners every day to develop automation solutions tailored to their business needs, and explain how the process works. I’d be happy to do the same for you.
What do you want your business to look like?
No two business look or operate alike. While there may be a basic roadmap for how organizations are structured and corporations are run, your business is uniquely yours, and operates how you need and want it to operate. Maybe in your business you’re the individual who develops all the products, makes all the decisions, and pay all the bills. Some businesses are super successful with this model, but growth and potential is limited by the time you can personally spend working. After all, there are only 24 hours in a day. Maybe your business has already grown, and you are the hub of the business, with many employees performing their specialized roles. But if you don’t have the time and opportunity to devote to managing your business, or your employees are inundated with mundane tasks, your growth is still stunted and the talent and potential of your employees won’t be maximized. Regardless of the business model you’ve chosen, automation can help free your time and resources, and allow your business to grow. The type of automation that will be most beneficial to you is as unique as your business. Talk me to me about your business and what you want it to look like, and I can put together an automation plan that works for you.
What does success look like for your business?
Automation can make a business of any size more successful, and help any business owner achieve his or her goals.
